Vote early. Avoid any disruptions to your plan to vote.

I normally encourage all voters who have a plan to faithfully execute the plan they have even if that includes election day voting at your polling place.
However, in this election my guidance has changed. Extremists in the republican party are actively turning a blind eye to or encouraging disruptions of our legally protected right to vote.
The best way to counter these disruptions is to vote early. There are numerous early voting locations in Madison and Dane County. I am listing the Madison locations as part of this post.
When you vote early, there is less of a chance of an election disruption to your right to vote by extremists whose goal it is sow chaos in our democracy to benefit the republican party.
Also, you can cross it off your list and not worry about whether you will have an election day emergency that requires your attention.
As your County Board Supervisor, I authored an amendment that passed to make it Disorderly Conduct to harass a poll worker. I also have put an additional $4 million dollars towards our Election Facility for a total of $16 million dollars. The funds will allow for a design that:
* Provides advanced fire suppression and protection
* Secure parking and access for staff
* The ability to insource critical services like printing
* The infrastructure to accommodate recounts
* Provide flexibility to address any emerging concerns around secure and integrity of elections
